Gee whiz things are really progressing! I think turning the hall into a self contained studio, with the ‘pod’ is such an inspired idea.
The residency idea is great - myself having done a number of them. I am working up a residency with Moreton Bay Research Station at Stradbroke for the later part of this year, looking at the intersections or collisions between ‘man’ and marine life on the bay.
With the Wilderness Society Office in Huonville just 5kms away and Southwest National Park 45 minutes south of Franklin and overlooking the Huon River, I’m sure the location of the church will ensure no end of impetus for art making.
